Micronized Sugar Beet
Micronized Sugar Beet is made from pure unmolassed sugar beet
pulp which has not had molasses added to it and is therefore around
95% sugar free. Micronizing prevents the protein from denaturing
allowing for quicker release of nutrients.
Micronized Sugar Beet is of particular relevance to the Equine
industry, where it is used as a low sugar source of fibre. The
fibre profile of sugar beet is ideal for horses. Equally divided
between cellulose, hemicelluloses and pectins, beet provides fibres
that can be fermented along the whole gut length at different
rates, as well as providing slowly fermented fibre and much needed
bulk. The Patented process and micronization we use produce a flake
that rapidly soaks up water on 5:1 ratio within 10mins and renders
